Cynthia Nixon has blasted last week's New York Post claim that her topless scene in Sex and the City sent her to the hospital for a quickie boob job! Nixon, a breast cancer survivor, says that, indeed, she was in a New York hospital -- in the oncology department, for her regular three-month treatment. Nixon tells the rival New York Daily News, "We got a call from [the Post] asking if I'd had breast augmentation, and my publicist laughed at them and said, 'No, of course not.' But they printed it anyway. If I was going to get a boob job, wouldn't it make sense that I'd get it before Sex and the City?" Nixon adds, "Yes, I had breast cancer, but I had a lumpectomy. Some women have reconstructive surgery, but mine did not merit that." |
