Garth Brooks will receive the first ever Crystal Milestone from the Academy of Country Music -- recognizing his six albums that have topped sales of 10-million copies. Garth says, "I am flattered and humbled by what this award means. The fact that they have never awarded it before makes me feel the respect and the faith they have in me as an artist, and I will continue to work my butt off to make sure they are happy with their choice." Garth, who will be presented with the awards during the telecast of the 43rd Academy of Country Music Awards on May 18th, will perform some of his greatest hits during the show. The show airs live from Las Vegas at 8:00 p-m [ET] on C-B-S-TV. |
