Gretchen Graduates for Daughter

Gretchen Wilson will be putting on a cap and gown and marching down the aisle to pick up her high school diploma, along with the class of 2008 in Wilson County, Tennessee on May 15th. According to the Tennessean, Gretchen just got word that she passed her general educational development exam -- something she felt she needed to do for her seven-year-old daughter. She says, "I certainly don't want her to think you can be this successful without an education." Gretchen, who left high school after the ninth grade, told us that she aced the English portion of the exam, but needed a little extra help in some other areas. "In my case I needed a lot on the math. I did great on the writing and the language and all of that stuff." Gretchen will be on C-B-S's The Early Show today to talk about her accomplishment. |
