HARRY SHEARER: No Ride-Diddly-ide
|

"Ned Flanders," "C. Montgomery Burns," "Waylon Smithers" and "Principal Skinner" have told Universal Studios to take its new Simpsons ride and shove it! Actually, that would be the man behind those and many other characters -- Harry Shearer. Shearer -- who's voiced his complaints about the hand that feeds him many times in the past -- says he had scheduling conflicts when it came time to lend his voice, or voices, to the ride. So the ride, which was going to be set at "Mister Burns"'s power plant, will now have a "Krustyland" theme. The show's other principal voices made time in their schedules -- and their bank accounts -- for the ride, which debuts next month at Universal's Florida theme park. |
