Kenny Chesney's foot was injured at the start of his show at Williams-Brice Stadium at the University of South Carolina on Saturday night when he got caught in the elevator that brings him up to the stage. Still, Kenny played the full set for more than 44-thousand people. He later said, "I took one look at those fans and there was no way I wasn't going on. Sometimes the energy and the adrenaline pull you through. They came to rock and there was no way I was sending them home with anything less than the best of what me and my guys came to do." Once Kenny left the stage, U-S-C's team doctor cut off his boot and tended to his foot. There was no word over the weekend on the extent of the injury or whether he will postpone any dates. His next show is scheduled for Thursday in Austin, Texas. |
