Mindy McCready allegedly carried on a decade-long affair with former Major League pitcher Roger Clemens, which reportedly began when she was just 15. According to a report in New York's Daily News, the pair met in a karaoke bar in Fort Myers, Florida back when the married Clemens was pitching for the Boston Red Sox. Through his lawyer, Clemens denies ever having had a sexual relationship with country singer. Rusty Hardin said, "[Clemens] considered her a close family friend. He has never had a sexual relationship with her." But the Daily News report cites unnamed sources who say Clemens took Mindy on lavish trips and that during her assorted legal troubles, he'd send her FedEx packages filled with cash.

The story was sparked as part of Clemens continuing defamation suit against Brian McNamee [pr. MAK-nah-mee], his former trainer who has publicly accused Clemens of using steroids. Clemens is currently being investigated for perjury for lying during his testimony before the Congressional committee looking into steroid use in professional baseball.
