Nicole Kidman Ups and Downs

It's been an eventful few days for the seven-months-pregnant Nicole Kidman. On Monday, Nicole's father, psychologist Anthony Kidman, underwent scheduled heart surgery in Sydney. The same day, the Oscar-winner's little sister Antonia Kidman picked up a little statue for her own mantelpiece -- Australia's ASTRA television award for Favorite Female Personality, for hosting the series From Here to Maternity. And on Tuesday, Nic was at the U-N in New York to speak out against violence to women, in her role as goodwill ambassador for the world body's Development Fund for Women. The expectant mom called violence against women probably the "most widespread human rights violation of our time." |
