Disgraced baseball player Roger Clemens has issued an apology for some of his laundry list of wrongdoings -- and a full-on denial that he did most of the stuff he's accused of. The pitcher -- who's been charged with steroid use, adultery and having inappropriate relations with then-15-year-old singer Mindy McCready -- issued a statement saying, "I have apologized to my family and apologize to my fans. Like everyone, I have flaws. I have sometimes made choices which have not been right. I have already made clear that I did not use [steroids]. Now, I have been accused of having an improper relationship with a 15-year old girl. Nothing could be further from the truth. Having offered this apology to the public, I would ask that you let me and my family deal with these matters in private." |
