Sara Evans Married Again

Sara Evans married former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker Saturday night on a farm near her home in Franklin, Tennessee. People magazine reports that Sara's eight year-old son Avery gave his mother away. The couple's combined brood of seven children were the only attendants. Sara and Jay were married by Reverend Joe Beam, who introduced them. After the brief ceremony, the guests, who were asked to dress in black, feasted on down-home Southern spread -- including fried chicken, pole beans and macaroni and cheese. The couple met last fall and were engaged in March. Sara says of her new husband, "He is one of the most amazing people I've ever met in my life." |
