Star Jones has taken aim at her ex-boss, Barbara Walters, for saying that Jones made her lie on the air about her gastric bypass surgery. Walters makes the allegation in her just-published autobiography. Jones, who was fired by Walters, tells Us magazine, "It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character." Walters had no comment -- her rep said her "written words say it all." |
