Wesley Snipes..."What Taxes?!"

On the day when many Americans were paying their taxes, U-S prosecutors recommended that Wesley Snipes be sentenced to three years in jail and receive a five-million-dollar fine for failing to file his income taxes for three years. The Blade star was convicted in February on three misdemeanor counts of willfully failing to file federal tax returns. U-S Attorney Robert O'Neill, who claims that Snipes tried to cheat the I-R-S out of 41-million dollars, wants to make an example of the actor "because of the singular opportunity this case presents to deter tax crime nationwide." Snipes is scheduled to be sentenced by a Florida judge on April 24th. |
